February 26,2011

Today we woke up knowing we were leaving our wonderful house on this fabulous island. It is hard to say goodbye. We worked so hard getting so much accomplished and then we must go. I do think we enjoyed ourselves as much as anyone could. Of course, it couldn't be a more beautiful day.

We organized things for awhile and then took the bikes over to Southern Cross Club to settle our bill with them for all the yummy meals we enjoyed there. We said our goodbyes and pedaled back home. It was a pleasant ride.

Once we got back, we took some more photos to remember the place. I did pretty good with the food this year. We hardly had anything to dispose of. Again, one of the "hard" things for me to do is dump the ice cubes. I'm always filling ice cube trays to keep my supply up only to dump them in the end. We use a ton of ice here as it is very warm. No more ice tea for us now, we will be switching to hot tea.

We had a nice flight over to Grand Cayman. Guy Harvey was on our flight and we had a nice visit. He had a video photographer with him and also was taking a ton of photos. He is a very famous painter of fish and Caribbean waters. He is quite the artist. Of course, he has formed a foundation, The Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation, and it is furthering the saving of the environment.

We had a nice dinner at the outdoor sea side restaurant at the Marriott Hotel. We had surf and turf (lobster and steak). It was super good. We watched the sun set over the water. Very pretty. Our flight leaves at 8:16 A.M. tomorrow and we are hoping it won't be too cold at home. We are used to mid eighties and warm sun so it will be an adjustment.

The photos were taken by Richard today. Notice how my coconut has grown in just one year.
